Kekova is the island facing Kalekoy who was inhabited in ancient times by the Greeks. An earthquake
has destroyed the village and today the remnants of this village part along the shore part in the sea
can be seen by boat. Boat cruises depart from Kas and Kalkan to visit this beautiful island though it is forbidden to get on the island or to dive in the area as there are many unearthed archeological artifacts in the site. Just in front of the island in about 5 minutes boat trip there is Kalekoy where you will find restaruants. Check Ucagiz the closest village to Kekova reachable by car. |
