The mainland town is the center of the activities. Kusadasi is the port where Aegean cruise liners tie up for their day visits to Ephesus. Nearby Didyma, day trips can be made to see the Temple of Apollo and to the Ionian port city of Priene to see its theater, lower gymnasium and Bouleuterion. Another excursion can be made to Miletus, an important ancient Greek town where a superb Greco-Roman theater still stands. 40 mi/65 km south of Izmir. You can stay near the Gulf of town which is the best in Kusadasi.
