Istanbul tour by Bosphorus Cruise and Beylerbeyi Palace full day
This tour start with Spice Market or Egyptian Spice Market of Istanbul which was the last stop for the spices and herbs coming from Egypt that once was an Ottoman land. The tradition continues today with all kinds of local and imported spices along with pastry, Turkish delight, dairy products and other types of high quality nutrition than can give an idea of the fertility of Anatolia. A festival to eyes, noses and soul.
While you cruise on Bosphorus you will get to see Rumeli Hisari (Rumeli Fortress), Beylerbeyi Palace, Dolmabahce Palace, Ortakoy Mosque, Kiz Kulesi (Maiden's Tower) and beautiful old water front mansions along with the breathtaking natural beauty of this sea passage blessed with surrounding rolling hills, groves and sea gulls.
In the afternoon you will be driven cross the Bosphorus bridge to Camlica Hill on the Asian side of Istanbul. With an altitude of 288 meters, you will have the best perception of Istanbul with an uncut and clear view of Old City, Pera, Bosphorus shores, bridges, main roads and other hills. Cross your fingers for clear skies !
After Camlica Hill, it is time to visit Beylerbeyi Palace that was built during the times of Sultan Abdulaziz and completed in 1865. As the second palace on Bosphorus after Dolmabahce, it features nice examples of Ottoman-Western architecture. Not as big as Dolmabahce though, this palace was used as a summer residence and guest accommodation for important visitors.
Please note Beylerbeyi Palace is closed on Mondays and Thursdays.
