Gocek is not famous for its restaurants. Sometimes a travel writer for a major US or European newspaper comments very favourably about a Gocek restaurant, but that should be taken with a grain of salt.

That said there are some cafes where you can have decent food and a few good restaurants. For fish restaurants you shoud look at the fish displayed on the tables at the entrance of the restaurant and do the bargaining before you enter. In fact you can walk along around and check prices and freshness.

As to the type of food prepared, in addition to many fish restaurants, you can find kebap restaurants, pide, fast food shops.
