Upon arrival at Sanliurfa airport, we'll take you to the
hotel for c/in. At around 11, we'll have a city tour including Halil
Rahman Mosque, Halil Ibrahim Cave, Urfa castle and Holy Fish Pond
(Balikli Göl, listen to the story of this pond and see the marks on
each fish). Later on we'll take you to have lunch at guest house.
Time to take you to traditional Gumruk Han and Sipahiler Market for
the regional ornaments, some textile products and copper handmade
materials. Here you'll be served regional coffee different from the
traditional Turkish coffee called as "mirra". After shopping we'll
return back to hotel for dinner.

DAY 2 -
ATATURK
DAM, MT NEMRUT

Early in the morning we'll proceed
for Mountain Nemrut en route Turkey's largest Ataturk Dam playing great role of
irrigation for the whole plain. Here we will get a briefing about
the dam and functions on SA Project. Proceed to Adiyaman, Kahta en
route we'll have our lunch at Acropolian Restaurant near by the
lake. Time to wind up Mt. Nemrut with groups of 9 at each minibuses
since neither buses nor cars can climb up to terraces, en route
we'll visit Cendere Bridge and Karakus Tumuli. After observing world
famous sunset, we'll go back to our hotel in Kahta. Mountain Nemrut
is actually famous for its sunrise scenery. For those who wish to be
the witness of this moment are welcomed to wind up very very early
in the morning again. |

After
breakfast we'll proceed for Diyarbakir early in the morning. In
Kahta we'll get on a ferry for Siverek and arriving in
Diyarbakir.
We'll have city tour but just before we'll have our lunch at
Diyarbakir's famous Selim Amca Restaurant which is famous for its
regional lamb. After lunch, we'll visit Ulu Mosque, minaret with
four feet and the city wall of Diyarbakir. Those guests willing to
do some shopping just follow us for the biggest shopping mall in the
city center. Overnight in Diyarbakir.

DAY 4- HASANKEYF,
MIDYAT, ÖMERLI,
MARDIN | |
Today
we'll depart for Hasankeyf (supposed to be underwater some part)
where you can observe the Tigris river, the old Artukid Bridge and
Zeyn El-Abidin Tomb with its precious tiles on it. Listen to the
whole story of Hasankeyf in here.
We'll have the chance to visit Zeyn El-Abidin Tomb and
Artukid Bridge later on.
Time to proceed for Midyat, having lunch we'll visit the
region where Syrian-Christians, Armenians and Muslims have been
living for years together. There, we'll see the historic houses made
of whitestones carved with figures by hand, also we'll visit
Morgabriel Church dated back to 5th century with its floor and
ceiling mosaics. As Midyat is well known for its silvery, we'll have
the chance to buy some silver ornaments. Proceeding for Mardin and
arrival en route Ömerli which is famous
for its grape, having a tea break at Ömerli we arrive in
Mardin. |

Today
we'll explore Mardin, first we'll visit the museum, Ulu Mosque,
Ancient Zinciriye College and the house where the Abbara lived.
Mardin is famous for its houses and the narrow streets along the
hills overlooking endless Syrian vast. Time to do some shopping in
the very famous regional market of Mardin, try to taste the almond
sugar in here. Here we'll observe Mesopotamia field while having our
lunch. After lunch we'll visit very well preserved Dayrulzaferan
Monastry supposedly used very expensive saffron powder in the
mortar. Listen the story of Dayrulzaferan from the guide. Proceeding
for Sanliurfa and arrival. Overnight at Sanlurfa.

DAY 6 - HALFETI,
BIRECIK, HARRAN, URFA

Early in the morning, we'll depart for
historic Halfeti, upon lunch at Birecik then we'll proceed for Harran.
There we'll visit the first Islamic University of the world and a very
typical beehive style Harran houses and Harran Castle with it's different
architecture style. After Harran we will return back to Sanliurfa. In the
afternoon we'll take you to traditional Gumruk Han and Sipahiler Market
for the regional ornaments, some textile products and copper handmade
materials. Here you'll be served regional coffee different from the
traditional Turkish coffee called as "mirra". After shopping we'll return
back to hotel for dinner. For dinner we'd like you to invite traditional
Urfa night that's we called as "Sira gecesi" reflecting regional food and
folk shows at the same time (will be extra activity).

After
breakfast , we'll check out from the hotel and proceeding Gaziantep
en route we'll visit
Belkis Castle and observe regional bird species Hermes ibis
only seen in this region, having our lunch in Gaziantep where world
famous dessert "baklava" originated as well as its kebap then we
